Ricardo Matias, striker for the Al-Shabab first football team, scored two goals against his former club Saudi Al-Ahli during the match between the two teams on Friday evening, which ended with Al-Shabab winning 6-1. This result became the largest in the history of encounters between the two teams in the league.
Matias was born on July 25, 2006, in the city of Nova Iguaçu in the state of Rio de Janeiro. He began his career at "Biladete" before joining the youth categories of Ferroviaria in 2021, before moving to Internacional at the beginning of 2022. He was called up to the Brazil U17 national team in September 2022, and scored three goals in three matches at the 2024 São Paulo Youth Cup.
In the same context, Saudi Al-Ahli purchased Matias's contract from Internacional on January 4, 2026, for 10 million euros, but he only participated in six matches totaling 87 minutes without scoring. The club then agreed to loan him to Al-Shabab until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
For his part, Matias scored his first goal in the 66th minute after intercepting the ball from Ryan Hamed, then returned to score the fourth goal in the 48th minute, without raising his hands in celebration, on a special night for the boy who is 192 cm tall and weighs 88 kilograms.
