A rights report documents 170 Houthi violations in Yemen, resulting in 29 deaths and 36 injuries over 48 hours.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms documented that the Houthi militia committed 170 crimes and violations during the past 48 hours across nine Yemeni governorates, resulting in the death of 29 people and the injury of 36 others, in addition to the abduction of 16 people and the firing of approximately 432 projectiles randomly.

The Network stated in a report via the 'X' platform on Sunday that the violations occurred in the governorates of Taiz, Aden, Sanaa, Al-Hudaydah, Al-Jawf, Lahij, Al-Dhale, Ibb, and Amran, and included the raiding of approximately 61 homes and targeting 23 with shelling, alongside targeting two health facilities, two mosques, Aden International Airport, and Maashiq Palace.

The report clarified that the dead included four women and three children, while the injured list included five women and four children, noting the death of two travelers and injuries to others due to a landmine explosion on the Yitmah-Al-Wadi'a road.

The Network pointed to the continuation of the siege imposed on the city of Taiz and the prevention of entry of food, basic supplies, petroleum derivatives, and medicines, alongside military escalation, which hinders residents' access to food, treatment, and basic services, exacerbating the risks of hunger and disease, especially among children, patients, and the most vulnerable groups.

It also noted receiving reports of pressure being exerted on neighborhood leaders in the capital, Sanaa, to prepare lists to register new fighters, along with information about pushing for the forced conscription of children.

The Network called on the United Nations and the international community to take urgent measures to stop the violations and protect civilians, lift the siege on Taiz, open roads, and ensure the unhindered delivery of food, water, fuel, medicines, and humanitarian aid, calling for the declaration of the city as a disaster zone and expanding the humanitarian response commensurate with the scale of needs.

The Network had previously announced, in a report published on October 15, the documentation of 219 crimes and violations committed by the Houthi militia in Taiz governorate during the past 48 hours.
