Cristiano Ronaldo scores a hat-trick in Al-Nassr's 5-3 win over Al-Kholood, moving to second place.

Dominant Victory in the Saudi League

The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his team Al-Nassr to a 5-3 victory over guests Al-Kholood on Thursday at "Al-Awwal Park", in the twelfth round of the Saudi Professional League. Ronaldo scored three goals (a hat-trick), his first triple of the season, leading his team to secure three valuable points, while his compatriot Joao Felix shined by providing four assists during the match.

Fluctuations in the First Half

The match started at a fast pace, as the referee disallowed Ronaldo's goal for offside in the 10th minute, before Frenchman Julian Dominguez surprised the home side by giving Al-Kholood the lead in the 16th minute. Brazilian Angelo Gabriel managed to equalize for Al-Nassr in the 24th minute, before Senegalese Sadio Mane gave his team the lead by scoring the second goal in the 38th minute. But Al-Kholood refused to give up, and Cameroonian Antoine Isompa equalized in the second minute of first-half stoppage time, ending the first half with a 2-2 score.

Ronaldo's Dominance in the Second Half

In the second half, Ronaldo imposed himself as the star of the match, scoring three goals in the 66th, 72nd, and 84th minutes, giving Al-Nassr a comfortable advantage and securing his team's victory in a goal-filled attacking encounter. In the final minutes, Dominguez reduced the deficit for Al-Kholood from a penalty kick in the fourth minute of stoppage time, scoring his second personal goal and third for his team, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.

Historical Records and New Standings

With this hat-trick, his seventh for Al-Nassr and 67th overall, Ronaldo raised his tally to 985 goals in his professional career, placing him 15 goals away from reaching the thousand-goal milestone, a historic achievement the Portuguese star seeks to accomplish before the end of his football career. With this win, Al-Nassr raised their points to 28, temporarily moving to second place, behind leaders Al-Qadsiah on goal difference, and one point ahead of Al-Hilal, while Al-Kholood's tally remained frozen at 12 points in tenth place.
