The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that it launched an intensive attack on Ukraine using high-precision weapons and drones, targeting military industry facilities and missile warehouses in the capital, Kyiv. In the same context, Ukrainian authorities reported that one person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of air raids that targeted the capital.
For its part, the Russian statement clarified that the attacks hit the data processing center of "Data Group" and the "Fire Point" logistics center, which the ministry claimed was used to produce and store parts for long-range drones and "FP-5 Flamingo" cruise missile engines. The statement also pointed to the targeting of the "Himvolokno" industrial facility and a locomotive warehouse in Kyiv for storing parts of cruise and ballistic missiles.
The Russian Ministry of Defense added that it targeted a cargo ship 130 kilometers southwest of the port of Odesa, claiming it was transporting military and dual-use shipments. The ministry also announced that air defense systems shot down 149 Ukrainian drones in various Russian areas during the night. In a separate statement, the Ukrainian Emergency Service confirmed the death of one person and injuries to eight others, with damage occurring in three districts of the capital.
