Russian attack on Vinnytsia results in injuries and widespread damage
Russian strike on a residential building in Vinnytsia kills no one but injures six, collapses parts of the structure, and forces evacuation of a nursing home.

Six people were injured in a Russian drone attack that targeted a five-story residential building in Vinnytsia, central Ukraine, on Sunday.

The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration stated in a statement reported by Ukrinform that the attack caused severe damage to the building, collapsing sections between the second and third floors, completely destroying four apartments, and damaging cars parked near the site.

Ukrainian authorities clarified that one of the injured was transported to the hospital for treatment, while rescue teams continued debris removal and response operations, with more than 60 emergency personnel and 14 specialized vehicles involved.

Widespread material damage

The attack also caused damage to vital infrastructure and civilian facilities, as well as several private homes, while fire brigades managed to control all fires resulting from the strike.

In a related development, a private nursing home suffered damage from the attack, necessitating the evacuation of 15 of its residents, with psychological support provided by Ukrainian emergency teams.

Interception and destruction of Ukrainian drones

On the Russian side, the Ministry of Defense announced today, according to Sputnik, that air defense forces destroyed 532 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions during the night.

Mutual drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine continue as the war enters its fifth year, with repeated strikes on infrastructure and civilian and military facilities in various areas of both countries, amid an escalation in long-range aerial attacks by both sides.
