Tunisian artist Saber Rubai has made remarkable statements in which he announced that he plans to end his artistic career within a period of two to five years at most, stressing that the final decision to retire is only a matter of time.
During a media interview, Al-Rubai said, "I am a salvation that has grown up, and in two to five years I will retire from singing," in a clear reference to the nearing end of his long artistic career.
The owner of the song "Challenge the World" explained that his decision is not related to sudden circumstances, but stems from his desire to end his career at the peak of his giving, and out of respect for his artistic history and the audience that accompanied him throughout the years of success, according to him.
He pointed out that he does not want to continue on the stage if he feels that his artistic level is beginning to decline, stressing that a real artist must know the right time to stop before losing the influence and glamour he has created throughout his career.
He stressed that the most important thing he is keen on is to present concerts and works worthy of his name and career before announcing his retirement, considering that preserving his artistic legacy is at the top of his priorities.
The Quartet Attacks the "Hypocrites"
In the course of his talk, Al-Rubai revealed that he recently went through a difficult psychological period as a result of personal pressures and situations that affected him greatly, and led to his feeling of exhaustion and re-evaluation of many aspects of his life.
He also spoke about the problem of "hypocrisy" that he faced in his surroundings, stressing that what bothers him the most is falsehood, especially when it comes from close people, which left a psychological impact that was reflected on his artistic state.
Saber Al-Rubai is one of the most prominent stars of contemporary Arab music, as he was born in Sfax in 1967, and started his artistic career at an early age, and during his career he presented a wide range of successful songs such as "Sidi Mansour", "Azza Nafsi" and "Ya Asal".
