The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced that an administrative building belonging to the Aramco oil company in Dammam, in the Eastern Province, was targeted, resulting in a limited fire with no injuries or deaths. The ministry confirmed in a statement on Tuesday evening that the competent authorities had begun dealing with the incident and taking the necessary measures, emphasizing that no human injuries were recorded.

In the same context, the ministry did not specify the party responsible for the attack, although the Houthi group had previously threatened to target the "Aramco" company headquarters in Dammam and King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, in response to any attack launched by the "Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen" on its positions in the capital Sanaa. Throughout Tuesday, the coalition announced the interception and destruction of a drone in the Riyadh area, raising the total number of attacks it repelled to 6 drones and 6 missiles launched by the Houthis.

For his part, the coalition had previously announced issuing a prior warning to civilians to evacuate the site of the Yemeni Oil Company at the Al-Sabahah Central Station in Sanaa before "carrying out a distinctive operation" targeting vital sources feeding the Houthi war effort. Since October 5, five Saudi airports have been subjected to 10 attacks that resulted in the death of 20 people and injured hundreds, in addition to material damage and disruptions in air traffic.

He noted that the attacks come amid a continuous military escalation between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group since July last year, which included targeting civil aviation facilities and energy installations in the kingdom. It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition since March 2015 to support the Yemeni government in confronting the Houthi group, which has controlled the capital Sanaa and several provinces since September 2014.
