Saudi Aramco announced on Tuesday that its profits rose by 41.3 percent year-on-year during the third quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, reaching $36.64 billion (137.4 billion riyals), thereby surpassing analysts' expectations of $29.54 billion (110.8 billion riyals). This increase came despite disruptions in the Middle East's energy sector, including the impact of the US-Iranian war on oil supplies since February last year, and the escalation of Houthi attacks on Saudi facilities since July last year.
In the same context, the company stated in an official statement that it distributed cash dividends to its shareholders at a rate of 0.34 riyals (approximately $0.09) per share, totaling 82.07 billion riyals (approximately $21.89 billion) for the third quarter of 2026. Operating cash flows also rose to 145.2 billion riyals (approximately $38.72 billion), compared to 135.4 billion riyals (approximately $36.11 billion) during the same period last year, when the company's profits in the third quarter of last year were around 97.26 billion riyals (approximately $25.93 billion).
For his part, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said that "the state of geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on major energy facilities continued to intensify the global energy supply crisis during the third quarter of 2026, with serious repercussions on global energy security." He added that the company continues to seek additional storage capacities abroad and alternative export routes, aiming to strengthen its global supply network amid current challenges.
The company indicated that there is "no expected significant impact" from the attacks that targeted some of its facilities in the Kingdom during the third quarter and afterwards, noting that the "East-West" pipeline continued to provide flexibility in the company's export operations. The pipeline had been subjected to attacks last September, resulting in injuries and damage, before Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman announced on October 6 the pumping of 5.8 million barrels per day through it.
