A Saudi-Chinese alliance won a contract worth 1.15 billion Saudi riyals, equivalent to approximately 306 million dollars, to implement the external facades of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Al Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia, which will host matches for the 2034 World Cup.
The Chinese economic platform "Yi Cai Global" announced, citing Bloomberg, that "China Fangda Group" won the contract on October 19. The contract includes the design, supply, and installation of the curtain facades, with the work expected to take slightly less than two and a half years.
The execution is undertaken by a joint venture between "Shihui International Holdings" and "Issam Qubain & Partners," holding 51 percent and 49 percent shares, respectively. The scope of work includes the main stadium, the museum, and ancillary buildings.
The stadium is located atop Jabal Tuwaiq at an elevation of approximately 200 meters, seats 47,000 spectators, and features a retractable roof and a large LED screen. Previously, a Qatari company won a mechanical contract worth 829 million riyals until May 2030.
