The initiatives "Sharaf AI" and "Startup Syria" hosted a seminar at the Cultural Center in Daraa city, titled "How to stay ahead of AI and create your path?", aiming to introduce young people to dealing with AI applications and utilizing them in various work fields, with the participation of technology and digital transformation enthusiasts.
In the same context, Mohammed Sharaf, CEO and founder of the Sharaf AI initiative, clarified that the importance of dealing with AI is not limited to knowing its tools and using them, but extends to understanding how to deploy them to serve businesses and verify the accuracy and reliability of their outputs, noting that these technologies do not aim to eliminate the human role, but represent supportive tools and accelerators for business.
Sharaf added that technological transformations throughout history have contributed to changing the nature of professions and work methods and the emergence of new specialties, as was the case with the transition from the typewriter to the personal computer, emphasizing the need to deal with AI applications responsibly, especially regarding data and privacy protection and avoiding sharing personal and sensitive information with smart models.
For his part, software engineering student Mohammed Sayyafneh pointed out that getting to know AI applications and their fields of use allowed him to access new professional opportunities, explaining that these technologies represent an opportunity for young people to acquire additional skills and keep up with the rapid developments in the job market, and that the benefit of digital transformation is enhanced by strengthening the culture of continuous learning and developing technical skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
He noted that the "Startup Syria" initiative, established in 2013, works to promote innovation and entrepreneurship culture through mentoring and training programs, connecting entrepreneurs with experts, investors, and support networks, thereby contributing to empowering youth and developing the local business environment, amid a rapid transformation in the deployment of AI technologies that have increasingly played a role in developing work, production, and education methods.
