Start of rehabilitation of a 920-meter sewage network in Ain Issa
Ain Issa Municipality begins sewage network rehabilitation in the southern district to address residents' complaints and prevent water overflow.

Ain Issa Municipality in northern Raqqa countryside has begun implementing a project to rehabilitate the sewage network in the southern district, according to a study prepared in collaboration with the Governorate's General Secretariat. This project aims to reduce the suffering of residents caused by water overflow, especially with the approach of winter and the deterioration of the current networks.

Khaled Al-Hussein, director of the technical office at Ain Issa Municipality, clarified that the project extends over a length of 920 meters with a diameter of 60 millimeters, and comes as a direct response to complaints submitted by residents of the southern district adjacent to Omar bin Al-Khattab School. He noted that the project falls within the efforts aimed at rehabilitating infrastructure and improving the reality of services in the city and its surroundings.

For his part, several shop owners and residents, including Adi Al-Aboud and Ahmed Saleh, pointed out their daily suffering due to sewage overflow in main streets and at the city roundabout, especially after rainfall. They confirmed that this situation hinders traffic movement and negatively affects commercial activity, necessitating urgent intervention.

Residents called for expanding maintenance works to include various main and secondary neighborhoods and districts in the city, emphasizing the need for additional support from relevant authorities to find comprehensive solutions for sewage network problems. The rehabilitation and replacement of sewage lines are part of Ain Issa Municipality's efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance network efficiency in areas suffering from line deterioration.

These efforts contribute to addressing blockages and water overflow, thereby improving the level of services provided to residents in Ain Issa. This project comes as a practical step towards addressing structural problems affecting the daily lives of residents and the quality of basic services in the area.
