Syrian Construction and Building Establishment Begins Installing Concrete Beams for Al-Siyasa Bridge in Deir Ezzor
The Syrian Construction and Building Establishment starts installing pre-stressed concrete beams for the Al-Siyasa Bridge in Deir Ezzor.

The Syrian Construction and Building Establishment, in cooperation with the Deir Ezzor branch of the General Establishment for Road Transport, began today, Saturday, the installation of pillars on concrete beams in the Al-Siyasa Bridge project, bringing the overall completion rate to approximately 44%. The project has reached advanced stages, with work starting on the installation of pre-stressed concrete beams in the fourth span between pillars B4 and B3, with a length of approximately 37 meters and a weight of about 80 tons per beam.

For his part, Ahmed Al-Akl, director of the Deir Ezzor branch of the Syrian Construction and Building Establishment, clarified that this phase came after the completion of reinforced concrete pillar works and the preparation of the sliding crane, noting that the project requires 70 concrete beams, 12 of which have been manufactured so far. He indicated that the completion of the project is scheduled to be finished by March 25, 2027.

Abdul Karim Khader, director of the General Establishment for Road Transport in Deir Ezzor Governorate, added that today witnessed the commencement of the most important phase of work, which is the installation of pre-stressed concrete beams on damaged spans, pointing out that this work was accomplished by national hands of engineers and technicians.

For his part, Engineer Mustafa Al-Zoubi explained that the work is implemented in two stages; the first begins with the installation of chairs and corrugated sheets and cable distribution, while the second includes tensioning and injecting cables after the beams harden. Technical supervisor Mohammad Al-Husseini clarified that the supervision body's tasks involve monitoring cable paths, pouring works, and following up on all technical details of the project.

The Al-Siyasa Bridge is considered one of the most vital arteries in Deir Ezzor Governorate, located at the northern entrance to the city. Rehabilitation works began on May 29, 2026, while rehabilitation and maintenance works continue for several other bridges as part of the infrastructure rehabilitation plan.
