Tunisia hosted the closing regional conference of the "Partnership 2" project and the launch of the new phase of the "Partnership 3" project, organized by the Dutch Court of Auditors and hosted by the Tunisian Court of Auditors, with participation from representatives of supreme audit institutions in nine Arab countries. A delegation from the Central Organization for Control and Finance in Syria participated in the conference proceedings, led by the head of the organization, Muhammad Omar Qadid, as part of efforts to enhance regional audit cooperation.

The Central Organization for Control and Finance stated via its Telegram channel on Saturday that the conference aims to develop the capacities of audit institutions and enhance their expertise in performance auditing, particularly in areas related to sustainable development goals. This is achieved through supporting digital transformation and exchanging practical experiences and expertise, contributing to the development of audit practices and improving overall institutional performance efficiency.

The organization clarified that the launch of the "Partnership 3" project continues the path of cooperation among audit institutions and expands the horizons for knowledge and experience exchange at both bilateral and regional levels. It also aims to enhance cooperation in developing audit work tools and keeping pace with changes and challenges facing audit institutions in light of recent developments.

The conference saw participation from representatives of supreme audit and accounting institutions from Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Palestine. The conference addressed the results of the "Partnership 2" project and the practical experiences of participating institutions, alongside discussing ways to develop audit practices and enhance mechanisms for following up on recommendations and measuring their impact.

As part of the Syrian delegation's program of work, the head of the organization, Muhammad Omar Qadid, and the accompanying delegation held a bilateral discussion session with the delegation from the Dutch Court of Auditors. The session covered prospects for enhancing institutional cooperation between the two sides and exploring opportunities to build a sustainable professional partnership, thereby enhancing the exchange of expertise and supporting the development of audit practices.

The organization's participation in the conference comes within the framework of enhancing its presence in regional and international audit forums and benefiting from exchanged experiences and expertise, which supports the development of audit work and improves its efficiency. This presence contributes to consolidating the principles of transparency, accountability, and the protection of public funds, as the proceedings of the "Partnership 2" project were concluded last Thursday, while the "Partnership 3" project proceedings began yesterday, Friday, and will continue until next Monday.
