Syrian Engineers Syndicate Seeks Investment Partnerships to Boost Resources
Syrian Engineers Syndicate targets investment partnerships to enhance resources and member services at Damascus Cement Expo.

Abdul Salam Aref, head of the Activity and Media Committee at the Syrian Engineers Syndicate, confirmed that the syndicate aims to invest its resources and establish partnerships to implement investment projects that support its funds and increase revenues, thereby positively impacting services provided to engineers.

Aref stated in an interview with the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) on Friday, on the sidelines of the 2026 Syria Cement and Concrete Industry Conference and Exhibition in Damascus, that the syndicate's participation aligns with its annual plans to enhance communication with institutions and companies operating in the engineering sector and to promote its services and projects.

Investing Resources and Expanding Partnerships

Aref noted that the syndicate is working to promote the services of the Aleppo, Hama, and Raqqa Concrete and Asphalt Engineering Company, as well as building materials laboratories in Aleppo, Damascus, Hama, and Tartus, highlighting its capabilities and specialized engineering services.

He pointed out that the participation of local, regional, and international companies in the exhibition provides opportunities for knowledge exchange and exposure to the latest technologies used in cement manufacturing and plant operation, paving the way for partnerships and leveraging specialized experiences.

Keeping Pace with Latest Technologies

Aref emphasized the necessity of the syndicate's participation in specialized exhibitions and conferences to keep up with the latest equipment, technologies, and products related to various engineering disciplines, and to showcase the expertise of engineers, engineering offices, and distinguished executed projects.

The Syrian Engineers Syndicate plays a professional role in regulating the practice of the engineering profession, developing engineers' competencies, and enhancing communication with institutions and companies operating in various engineering sectors. Diversifying resources and developing investments constitute one of the pathways supporting the continuity of its professional and social services.

The conference and exhibition, organized by Sim Tech Group in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Industry, kicked off on Thursday at the Damascus Exhibition City and will conclude its proceedings on Saturday, with the participation of approximately 50 local, regional, and international companies from nine countries operating in commercial, industrial, and service sectors related to cement and concrete manufacturing.
