A team of Kuwaiti cyclists arrived today, Thursday, in Daraa Governorate via the Nussair border crossing with Jordan, on a tourist tour sponsored by the Syrian Ministry of Tourism aimed at getting to know the historical and tourist landmarks in several Syrian governorates.
The team includes about ten Kuwaiti cyclists, including members of the Kuwait Riders team, after they covered a long distance from Kuwait, passing through Saudi Arabia and Jordan to reach Syria. Syrian traveler Yasser Dalab commented on the Ministry's efforts in hosting the team, which contributes to promoting the tourist and historical assets, noting that the tour begins with a visit to the Bosra Castle, then moves to Damascus.
For his part, team member Amir Al-Ali clarified that the goal is to convey an image of Syria to Gulf countries, expressing his hope that it becomes a country of peace and development. Abd al-Amir Tamimi emphasized the importance of visiting tourist sites, praising the warm reception.
This visit reflects the atmosphere of communication between the Syrian and Kuwaiti peoples, within the Ministry's efforts to activate tourist movement. The Ministry had previously organized the first motorcycle ride "Discover Syria," with the participation of 120 cyclists from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
