At dawn on Sunday, June 21, 2026, a convoy of the Israeli occupation army infiltrated the Yarmouk basin in the western countryside of Daraa, where military vehicles reached the outskirts of the village of Abdeen amid intensive flying of drones and searches of houses, according to local sources from inside the village.
The sources stated that the invading convoy included about 12 military vehicles between armored vehicles and tanks that set off from the Jazira barracks near Ma'ariyah before crossing the western neighborhood of the village and heading between Maariyah and Abdeen to the outskirts of the village, where some vehicles were stationed near the Khalid bin Al-Walid Mosque, with houses searched without recording clashes or arrests
The sources said that the occupation soldiers accompanying the convoy raided and searched the houses of the village under the pretext of searching for those they called "wanted" before it withdrew without recording any case of abduction.
The sources said that the Israeli incursion into the village of Abdeen coincided with the movements of Israeli military vehicles in the vicinity of the western sector of the village, without immediate information about arrests or injuries in this sector until the moment of writing.
50 Israeli incursions since early June
Based on reliable data and information, "Syrian News" documented about 50 incursions and ground violations carried out by Israeli forces in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra since the beginning of this month, which caused thousands of farmers to be prevented from heading to their lands.
Between 18 and 21 June 2026, the Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the southern and central countryside of Quneitra as part of a series of simultaneous ground operations that reflect a gradual level of escalation along the strip separating the occupied Golan, and were distributed over several villages and axes.
Eyewitnesses reported that a military convoy infiltrated at dawn on June 18 from the Tal Ahmar base towards the village of Al-Asbah, spread in its streets and raided the homes of civilians before withdrawing, and on June 19, the operations expanded to include Sidon al-Hanout and Saida al-Golan, where the forces carried out searches on about ten houses, during which they interrogated the residents, including a media officer from the Quneitra Information Directorate, in addition to the incursion of Israeli vehicles into the town of Koudna and the implementation of a meticulous search campaign inside the houses.
The occupation forces build a control tower near Tal Ahmar
On Saturday , June 20th, the largest incursion into the village of um Batinah was carried out with the participation of about 30 military vehicles, accompanied by the erection of a temporary checkpoint on the road leading to Jabba and the search of an abandoned barracks in the vicinity of the village.
In parallel with these incursions, remarkable engineering movements were observed towards eastern Tal Ahmar, where Israeli bulldozers began to construct a new military observation tower and erect prefabricated tents and rooms, in a move that indicates a clear intention to establish a long-term presence and expand control inside Syrian territory.
These developments come in the context of an ongoing escalation since Israel announced the cancellation of its commitment to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which opened the door to repeated incursions that have become deeper and wider, and are redrawing the rules of engagement on the separation line in southern Syria.
