Spanish club Real Madrid have announced the signing of a third deal from the Premier League in the summer of 2026 by signing Frenchman Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool.
Real Madrid announced on its official website on Thursday the signing of Ibrahima Konate on a four-year contract until the summer of 2030.
Real Madrid signed 3 Premier League players during the summer of 2026, as it was announced on Wednesday that the Portuguese Bernardo Silva had signed after the end of his contract with Manchester City in a free transfer deal, the same for Konate, whose contract at Anfield expired.
Earlier, Real Madrid revealed that Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella had signed on Monday on a six-year contract for €55 million, according to reports in the English press.
Strengthening the defensive and midfield lines
Real Madrid, who recently took charge of Portuguese Jose Mourinho, are working to strengthen the defensive and midfield lines on the recommendation of the new coach.
Mourinho has no intention of making strong attacking signings except for the return of Brazilian Endrik, who was loaned out last season to Olympique Lyonnais in France.
This comes after Real Madrid failed in the last two seasons to achieve any major championship, whether at the level of the league, cup or Champions League.
While the Merengue attack does not seem to need new signings in light of the presence of Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, Brazilians Rodrigo Gois and Vinicius Jr., and their English successor Jude Bellingham.
