Three peregrine falcon chicks were sold for a total of 369,000 riyals during the tenth night of the National Falcon Center Auction for the year 2026, held on Tuesday in Mulham, north of Riyadh. The auction continues until November 30 next year, serving as an annual event gathering falconry enthusiasts in the Kingdom.

In the same context, bidding for the first falcon, a peregrine chick from the Harth tribe, started at 50,000 riyals before being sold to the falconers Fahd Sultan Al-Mari, Hamad Nafal Al-Mari, and Abdullah Al-Saighari for a final price of 118,000 riyals. Meanwhile, the second falcon, a peregrine chick from the Rafha tribe, was offered to a group of falconers including Saad and Hamad Mohammed Al-Shamri, Abdulaziz Aqala Al-Shamri, and Mohammed Hamad Al-Shamri. Bidding started at 80,000 riyals and it was sold for 171,000 riyals.

The night concluded with the third falcon, a peregrine chick from the Al-Hamad tribe (Arar), which was offered by 11 falconers and sold for 80,000 riyals. The auction exclusively accepts peregrine falcon chicks of the migratory Bahri variety offered within Saudi Arabia, excluding the Qarnas peregrine and the free falcon, to support their sustainability and preserve their breeds.

Local falcon offerings will be accepted for two months, while auction nights are broadcast live via television channels and social media platforms, allowing falconers and interested parties to follow the events. The National Falcon Center provides various integrated advantages and services to falconers throughout the offering season, with center teams in different regions receiving the falcon owner (the falconer) and ensuring accommodation and transportation for falcon owners to the auction venue.

He added that the falcon is presented in a direct and fast competitive auction, broadcast on transmitting television channels and the center's official social media accounts, ensuring transparency and reaching the largest segment of interested parties.
