Union's Export Goals
In a statement to Anadolu, Selçuk Iskender, Chairman of the Board of the Black Sea Exporters Union, stated that honey exports during the first nine months of the year reflect important diversification in the import markets for Turkish products. Iskender clarified that the US, Germany, and the UK are at the forefront of export markets, noting that sales to other countries also contribute to enhancing the presence and reputation of Turkish honey in international markets.
He added that the Union aims to increase the number of countries importing Turkish honey, alongside expanding its share in current markets. Iskender emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to highlight the quality and reliability of Turkish honey in global markets, thereby supporting the economic sustainability of the sector.
