Bazshkian: The decision to go to war and negotiate is in the hands of Khamenei and the supreme institutions
Iranian President Masoud Bezshakian stressed that the decisions of war and negotiation in the Islamic Republic are not the prerogatives of the government, but belong exclusively to the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme National Security Council, expressing regret over the characterization of the Iranian negotiating team as a "traitor."
During a private meeting with senior executives in the media, Bazshkian stressed the need for all political forces and currents to adhere to the decisions issued in accordance with the vision and directives of the Supreme Leadership, warning against presenting personal desires as popular demands, or trying to impose them on decision-making institutions through the media or political pressures, considering that these gaps are what the "enemy" seeks to exploit.
The Iranian president made it clear that maintaining internal unity and cohesion is a top priority at the current stage, and that any attempt to create internal divisions constitutes the "greatest threat" the country faces.
Bezshkian reviewed the negotiation mechanism within the framework of the approvals of the Supreme National Security Council, stressing that the government is working seriously to improve the living situation, combat corruption, strengthen relations with neighboring countries, support the armed forces, and raise the country's resilience, in parallel with protecting the national authority.
He also stressed the government's commitment to protecting national interests, easing economic pressures, expanding regional interactions, and creating new development opportunities, stressing that the most dangerous thing facing the Islamic Republic is attempts to ignite political and social divisions.
