The Yemeni Army announced on Sunday the execution of 1,272 targeting operations against sites, gatherings, and reinforcements belonging to the Houthi group over 24 hours, resulting in the neutralization of nearly 500 of the group's leaders and members, and the destruction and damage of 169 vehicles, equipment, and heavy weapons.

Army spokesperson Majid Al-Nazili said in a statement published on the US platform 'X' that the operations were carried out as part of the 'Yemen's Dawn' operation, targeting Houthi gatherings, fortifications, fire sources, and their movement and supply means. He added that the targeting, in coordination with combat operations by military units, contributed to inflicting losses on the group's capabilities and supporting advances and the recapture of positions on the Al-Jawf front (north).

Developments on the Fronts

The statement clarified that government forces continue their operations along the northern fronts (Al-Jawf), the fronts of Ma'rib and Al-Bayda provinces (central), and the southern (Lahij) and southwestern (Ta'izz) fronts. Al-Nazili continued that our armed forces carried out 1,272 targeting operations over the past 24 hours, targeting the gatherings, reinforcements, fortifications, fire sources, and movement and supply means of the Houthi militia.

In Ta'izz province (southwest), Al-Nazili said that army and popular resistance forces continue their battle against the Houthis, supported by warplanes, drones, and artillery, and direct strikes against the group's movements and reinforcements. He affirmed that the armed forces continue to perform their duties, while taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property.

Civilian Casualties and Strategic Control

Earlier, the army announced the downing of two drones belonging to the group and the execution of air raids targeting its sites and gatherings in Al-Masrak district in southern Ta'izz province. The Yemeni Ministry of Interior also announced the death of a woman and a child, and the injury of another woman, due to a Houthi drone strike that targeted a home in Al-Tabadud neighborhood in the Old Airport area west of Ta'izz city.

As for Al-Jawf province, government forces announced on Saturday the completion of their control over the strategic Huwayshayan mountains, which represent an advanced defense line for Al-Hazm city, the provincial center under Houthi control. Since October 5, the 'Yemen's Dawn' military operation has been ongoing, which Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi said aims to restore state institutions from the Houthis and control the capital, Sana'a.
