Execution of Wide Targeting Operations
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of more than 1,250 precise targeting operations during the past 24 hours, within the "Yemen Dawn" operation, targeting military sites and capabilities belonging to the Houthi militia. These operations included the use of warplanes, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units, according to the Armed Forces.
Focus on Frontlines and Fortifications
The official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, clarified in a statement via the "X" platform today, Thursday, that the operations focused on forward positions, fortifications, trenches, firing sources, and observation and reconnaissance points. He pointed out that the operations covered various fronts and axes, particularly the Taiz front, in addition to command and control sites, mobilization areas, and transportation and supply means.
Neutralization of Elements and Destruction of Vehicles
The spokesperson confirmed that the operations resulted, according to initial field estimates, in the neutralization of approximately 700 elements of the Houthi militia, and the destruction or damage of more than 150 vehicles, armored vehicles, and combat and supply transport means. He noted that the targeting led to weakening the militia's fortifications and combat formations, dismantling its defensive structures, and shattering its offensive capabilities.
Legitimacy of Military Operations
The spokesperson emphasized that the operations were carried out against legitimate military targets, in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law and the necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects, and that the Armed Forces continue to perform their duties according to the operational plan. The Yemeni Armed Forces had announced on October 5 the launch of the military operation "Yemen Dawn," which achieved field progress in several axes and established control over several vital points.
