Yemeni Foreign Ministry Condemns Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah Interventions in Yemen
Yemen's Foreign Ministry condemns Iranian and Hezbollah military interventions, urging international action to stop them.

The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned, on Tuesday, the continued military interventions by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Hezbollah militia in Yemen's internal affairs, and their role in supporting the Houthi militia, enabling it to continue its attacks on the Yemeni people and threaten regional and international security.

Details of Foreign Intervention

The Ministry clarified in a statement today, reported by Saba Agency, that the announcement by the Yemeni Ministry of Interior regarding the presence of (21) foreign experts working with the Houthi militia, including (14) experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and (7) experts from the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, reveals the scale and severity of this intervention, surpassing funding, arms supply, and training to direct supervision, participation in planning, and managing operations and building the militia's military capabilities.

Violation of Sovereignty and Threats

The Ministry stressed that this illegal foreign military presence constitutes a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and principles of international law, affirming the responsibility of the Iranian regime for managing this intervention through Revolutionary Guard elements and the Hezbollah militia, and utilizing Yemeni territory to serve its regional projects at the expense of Yemenis' security and stability.

The Ministry confirmed that the involvement of these elements in supporting the military operations of the Houthi militias contributed to killing Yemenis and forcibly displacing them from their homes, exacerbating their humanitarian suffering, especially in Taiz, warning that the risks of this intervention extend beyond Yemeni territory, posing a direct threat to regional and international security, as well as freedom of navigation and global trade in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

International Appeals and Press Acknowledgment

The Ministry called on the international community, led by the Security Council, to uphold its responsibilities, condemn these interventions, and take practical measures to stop the flow of weapons and military expertise to the Houthi militia, enforce relevant resolutions, and hold accountable the states, entities, and individuals involved in supporting these activities in accordance with international law, thereby protecting Yemen's sovereignty and the security of its people, and safeguarding regional and international security.

Last month, the American "Wall Street Journal" newspaper revealed that Iran has been providing continuous military and intelligence support to the Houthi militia, which has enhanced its capabilities to target Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and drones, through providing training, intelligence information, and assistance in target identification.
