Yemeni Interior Ministry Accuses Iran and Hezbollah of Managing Houthi Operations via 21 Experts
Yemeni Interior Minister reveals 21 Iranian and Lebanese military experts manage Houthi operations and coordinate Red Sea attacks.

Accusations of Managing Military Operations

Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan accused Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah of managing part of the military operations of the Houthi group on Tuesday, through 21 military experts operating in areas controlled by the group. Haidan clarified, according to statements published by the ministry, that these experts are responsible for tasks including planning operations, developing missiles and drones, and targeting ships in the Red Sea.

Distribution of Experts and Tasks

Haidan explained that the experts include 14 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and 7 from the Lebanese Hezbollah, distributed across sites in Sanaa, Al-Hudaydah, Saada, Hajjah, and Amran, as well as the Al-Khukha area. He considered that the presence of these experts reveals a shift in Iranian intervention from financing and arming to direct supervision and management of military operations, and building the combat capabilities of the Houthis.

Details of the Regional Lists

The list is headed by Abd al-Razzaq Shahla'i, known as "Hajj Yusuf," who oversees the management and execution of Houthi military operations. It also included Ali Muhammad Ramadani, Ali Hussein Najati, and Miath Fuad Murtada. In Saada province, 4 experts oversee the assembly of long-range drones and the development of smart missiles, while in Al-Hudaydah, 8 experts focus on developing small submarines and warheads and coordinating naval attacks.

Warnings of Regional Consequences

Haidan warned that these activities threaten regional security, freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait, and global trade routes. The Yemeni minister called on the international community to designate the Houthis as a terrorist organization, dismantle their funding networks, and implement the arms embargo stipulated in UN Security Council resolutions 2216 and 2624. Independent verification of the names and tasks listed was not possible, and no immediate comment was issued by Iran, Hezbollah, or the Houthis regarding the accusations.
