Yemeni Network: Houthis Kill Two Children and Abduct Four Civilians in Taiz
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported two children killed and four civilians abducted in Taiz.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms announced on Saturday that two children were killed, three civilians were injured, and four others were abducted by the Houthis in Taiz governorate in southwestern Yemen. This came in a statement published by the Yemeni News Agency "Saba," in which the Network documented 21 violations within 24 hours, including the firing of approximately 213 projectiles on residential areas.

The Network clarified that the attacks resulted in the death of child Ammar Yasser Al-Sharihi, who was abducted from his home in Al-Akma village in the Sabr area before being found dead, as well as the injury of three civilians, including two women. Four citizens were also abducted and taken to unknown locations, while the group was accused of destroying seven homes in Al-Hajriyah, south of Taiz.

For its part, the Network called on the international community to act to protect the residents of Taiz from shelling and siege, and demanded the lifting of restrictions on the movement of basic supplies. It also called for an urgent humanitarian response to support hospitals and provide cancer and dialysis medications, while holding those responsible for violations accountable.

In the same context, the humanitarian situation in Taiz is deteriorating amid ongoing clashes between government forces and the Houthis. Government forces control the city center, while the Houthis have made advances in rural and coastal areas, exacerbating the city's isolation and increasing pressure on its residents, who are suffering from poverty.
